The American Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), an official distributor of Riddara cars in the Emirates, has launched the brand’s first all-electric 4×4 pickup truck, the Riddara RD6. The introduction follows a pact between the Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely Holding and AGMC. The latter will distribute all Riddara cars in the Emirates adding to an already exhaustive portfolio. The 2024 Riddara RD5 is mounted on Geely’s Multiple Attached Platform (MAP) which is specifically developed for electric pickups. The entry-level model is powered by a 63kWh lithium-ion battery that produces 422PS/585Nm. The price of the 2024 Riddara RD6 starts at AED 139,500.

  • A renamed and mildly-restyled version of the Radar RD6 from Chinese automaker Geely under its Radar brand, the Riddara RD6 is one of the first mid-size all-electric modern-generation pickup trucks to be available in the UAE. Debuted first in the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show, the Riddara RD6 is on sale in the UAE in two variants – Standard Range (AED 139,500) and Long Range (AED 169,000). Exterior

  • Based on the Radar RD6 from China, the Riddara RD6 has a tweaked front design while retaining the traditional upright stance and boxy-looking design elements of the former. At the front, the Riddara RD6 features a revised front closed grille with bold Riddara lettering spread across its width. This piano black closed grille is flanked by headlamp housings with LED DRLs, which have LED headlamps in Standard Range and ADB Matrix LED headlamps in the Long Range variant. The front bumper has a muscular design with large pentagonal housings with gloss black surrounds.
  • Moving towards the side, the Riddara RD6 impresses with its upright stance, with the pickup having rounded smooth contours over the rounded wheel arches, which have black side mouldings over them. The mouldings over the bottom of the door panels have chrome garnish, with the RD6 having 18-inch machined alloy wheels. The RD6 also comes with front and rear LED illuminated light belts and ‘X’-themed LED inserts in the stylish combo tail lamps. Adding more toughness to the design of the Riddara RD6 are the aluminium roof rails and side step boards.
