The all-electric Polestar 2 get a better mileage for 2024, courtesy of updated hardware and a larger-capacity battery. The dual-motor Polestar 2 now gets a claimed run range of 300 miles. In UAE, the Polestar 2 entry-level trim is still hauled by a single motor powered by a 75 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Polestar 2 gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment, power-operated lift-gate, eco-friendly vegan fabric upholstery, and a multifunction steering wheel. Full leather upholstery is available as an option. Satellite radio comes as standard. The car is also available in a dual-motor version. The price of the Polestar 2 starts at AED 184,900.

Introduction

  • The Polestar 2 was the Swedish car brand’s first all-electric car, which first debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and was facelifted in January 2024. Sharing its CMA platform with Volvo’s entry-level offerings like XC40 Recharge and C40, the Polestar 2 is a mid-size all-electric liftback sedan available in two variants – Standard Range Single Motor (AED 194,900) and Long Range Single Motor (AED 214,900). The colour options for the Polestar 2 are Space, Thunder, Midnight, Jupiter, Snow and Magnesium.

Exterior

  • The Polestar 2 takes much of its design inspiration from the Volvo S60 and S90 sedans, and that is evident in some of its highlights like the closed front grille with tapered lower edges, the all-LED headlamps with Thor’s hammer-shaped LED DRLs and C-shaped wraparound tail lamps. With the Pilot pack, one can also equip the Polestar 2 with funky-looking Pixel LED headlamps. The front bumper has triangular housings on the corners with LED fog lamps.
  • The Polestar 2 has muscular haunches above the fenders and gets 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, though one can opt for 20-inch alloy wheel designs too. This liftback also gets frameless power-adjustable and foldable rearview mirrors, with its C-shaped LED tail lamps having a connected LED light bar at the back. These tail lamps have a unique lighting pattern with 288 individually controlled LEDs.

  • The multi-functional, four-way adjustable steering wheel of the Polestar 2 has a modern-looking 12.3-inch full-TFT instrument console, while the sloping centre console has an 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage. The dashboard has a wraparound hollow design with C-shaped corners engulfing the sleek AC vents.
