Expected to launch in November 2024, the Jeep Wagoneer S is an all-electric luxury SUV that promises both high performance and cutting-edge technology. Priced yet to be announced, the Wagoneer S is a standout in the electric vehicle market. The North American market model offers an impressive 600 horsepower and 836 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It features a 100.5-kWh battery pack providing over 300 miles of range and fast-charging capabilities, reaching 80% charge in just 23 minutes. Inside, it offers a futuristic cabin with 45 inches of screen space and a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system. Key rivals in the UAE market will include the Tesla Model X, BMW iX, Audi Q4 e-tron, and Mercedes EQB.

Introduction

  • Based on the STLA Large platform for electric vehicles by Stellantis, the Jeep Wagoneer S is the new range-topping electric vehicle from Jeep for global markets. To be positioned below the Grand Wagoneer and having dimensions more or less similar to the Grand Cherokee, the new Jeep Wagoneer S will come in the UAE car market as Jeep’s first-ever all-electric offering in the country.
  • Sharing much of the design elements with the concept model, the new Jeep Wagoneer S is the sleekest-looking SUV ever designed by the American SUV specialist. The front profile still has the iconic seven-slat grille, but in a slim-looking form and having a closed design, with even the LED headlamps with LED DRL strips having a sleek appearance.
  • Like other SUV offerings from Jeep, the Wagoneer S also has an upright stance and boxy profile, though the pillars here have more rakish angles, adding to the sleekness of the design. With 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, the Jeep Wagoneer S has trapezoidal wheel arches and a floating roof effect with dual-tone treatment for the roof.
  • At the rear, the new Wagoneer S has sleek LED combination tail lamps with slimmer outer edges, while them being joined by a thick connected LED light bar. To give it a more aerodynamic visual appeal, the Wagoneer S has a raked windscreen and a sporty-looking large roof spoiler. Even the cabin of the Jeep Wagoneer S looks different from the rest of the Jeep offerings, with the dashboard having a sleek appearance with a minimalist approach for the controls and more use of soft-touch materials.
  • With a youthful approach in the design of the cabin, the Jeep Wagoneer S has dual touchscreens in the centre console for infotainment and controls for the climate, audio, and drive mode settings. Like the Grand Cherokee, there is an additional screen for the co-passenger side of the dashboard available as an option. Other noteworthy features of the cabin of the Wagoneer S include a 19-speaker Macintosh premium audio system, panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
  • Jeep has launched the Wagoneer S globally with a single all-wheel drive configuration as standard, with one motor each for both front and rear axles. With this dual motor setup, the Jeep Wagoneer S claims a maximum power output of 600 PS and a maximum torque output of 800 Nm. A 100kWh battery pack is offered as standard, which is the biggest ever from Stellantis group at presence and claims a range of 482 km on a full charge.
  • Currently, Jeep has no all-electric offerings, but with the Wagoneer S, it will offer fresh competition to the all-electric equivalent of its traditional rivals, including the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, BMW iX3, Audio Q6 e-Tron, and the Range Rover Velar Electric which JLR is planning for the near future. In terms of product positioning, the Wagoneer S will slot between the flagship Grand Wagoneer full-size SUV and Grand Cherokee mid-size SUV.
