Latest Updates on Honda Accord

What's New on Honda Accord?

Introduction

  • The Honda Accord has entered into its tenth generation version worldwide, which has only grown bigger and become sleeker than ever before. With an evolutionary design language and all-new powertrains, the Honda Accord now seems an even stronger challenge as the ever-powerful ultimate sedan from Honda. The color options for Honda Accord are Platinum White, Lunar Silver, Modern Steel, Crystal Black, San Marino Red, Champagne Frost, Obsidian Blue, and Radiant Red.

Exterior

  • In this tenth generation avatar, the new Honda Accord has become not only bigger but also has become sleeker in its design, which has made it look sportier and much closer to profile with the sporty Honda Civic.
  • The front, like in all modern Hondas, has grown wide with a bigger and wider chrome grille which stretches on sides to big and angular full LED headlamps with daytime running LEDs. The trapezoidal grille below the chrome bar at the centre too has grown in size, which extends all the way down to the bottom. The thin strip of LED fog lamps too is a cool touch.
  • Thanks to a longer wheelbase than before, the Honda Accord looks a longer car in profile, with the sloping roofline like as seen in Honda Civic accentuating its new sporty design, something which only gets doubled with the new sporty machined alloy wheels.
  • At the rear, the Honda Accord manages to look as suave and polished with the large and C-shaped LED tail lamps which again sources inspiration from those of the Civic, though in a slightly understated way.
  • Ride & Handling Key Highlights The Honda Accord comes with a front-wheel drivetrain and has a plush suspension setup which feels cushy and comfortable over all kinds of surfaces. While the engines sound energetic and peppy, the high kerb weight and light steering setup do not allow all the juice of the engine to be utilized fully, with more focus on back seat comfort rather than outright driving dynamics.

  • Engine & Fuel Consumption Key Highlights The new Honda Accord debuts two new four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines from the Honda family. While the smaller 1.5-litre mill generates 200 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque and is coupled to a CVT gearbox, the bigger 2.0-litre engine produces 249 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque and is coupled to a new 10-speed torque converter.

Interior

  • The new model of the Honda Accord looks balanced and exudes top-notch quality for a car of this segment, thus justifying its premium positioning as a premium midsize saloon.
  • In this new iteration, the driver sits lower and is welcomed by an all-new combination of a refreshing looking instrument console and a new multi-functional steering wheel. Going by the trend, the new Accord comes with a floating type touchscreen infotainment system which is positioned in an angular manner.
  • The centre console looks simple with normal-looking buttons for dual-zone automatic climate control, with a nice and premium faux wood finish running across the dashboard, separating the dual-tone black and beige treatment for the dashboard.
  • Packed with features like heated and ventilated front seats, powered front seats, leather upholstery, sunroof, heads up display, paddle shifters, push-button start with keyless entry, active noise cancellation, lane watch camera, and a premium sound system with subwoofer, the Honda Accord gives a top-notch pampering feel to the occupants.
